Badeseum
- Natural Swimming Lake
Umhausen's
nature swimming lake, built according to the principles
of ecological balance, is located in immediate vicinity
to the ultimate Stuiben Falls and the Ötzidorf
Iceman Village. Both in summer and winter the lake
and its surroundings offer rest and relaxation to

Ötzi
village (Umhausen)
The Tyrolean Superstar "Ötzi" has
a village built after him in the Ötz valley.
Nine years after the legendary find of this "ice
man" Umhausen is set to open the Ötzi
village.
A 9,000 -m² area very close to the Tyrol's
largest waterfall the Stuibenfall is being used
to build an open-air museum. This museum is intended
to show visitors Ötzi's world, and everday
life, and is under the supervision of the University
of Innsbruck. (Institute for Ancient and Early

Stuibenfall

Tyrol's
biggest and most beautiful waterfall which plummets
150 m, producing a wonderful play of colour in sunlight.

Piburger
Lake (Oetz)
A natural lake, the biggest in
the valley as well as the warmest in Tyrol, also
known as "Mirrow of Mountains" because
of its ability to catch the surrounding giants
in its beautiful blue waters.

Museum
(Längenfeld)

minutes by foot from the centre, in the Lehn district.
This is the largest museum of the Ötz valley
in a 300 year old farm, showing how the people
of the valley lived in the past.

trough the Ötztaler glaciers into the South

Gaislachkogl
lift, 3.058 m
The
Gaislachkogl lift is the largest double cable
lift in the world. Comprised of two sections of
1,370 m to 3,041 m. There is a wonderful panorama
restaurant and sun terrace up at the mountain
station. (3,041 m) with a breathtaking all-round
view of the mountains and glaciers in the Ötztaler
and Stubaier Alps, right down to the South Tyrolean
Dolomites and Ortler area.

Mountaineer's
village Vent, 1.900 m
Dominated
by Tyrol's highest mountain, the Wildspitze, 3,774
m. The Rofenhöfe, the highest settlements
in the Eastern Alps with its 46 m long suspension
bridge over the 31 m deep Rofner gully, the famous
warm-blood stud farm or the place where "Ötzi"
was originally discovered Tiesenjoch, 3,200 m.
